We know some days are rougher than others, or there are the days where you need to nail that presentation, and some days, you just need that extra boost. Here is a list of quick things you can do to leave you feeling fierce.
Be grateful. Try not to focus on what you don’t have, and be grateful for the things that you have and can utilize right now. When we focus on what’s in front of us, and are happy for it, we start to forget about the things that we don’t have. Before you walk out the door, look around and find 5 things you are thankful to have.
Crank up the tunes. Jamming out to your favorite music is good for your mind and body. It can also make you feel more powerful. Have a dance party to your favorite song.
Say some affirmations. When you use affirmations, you can visualize successful outcomes and are less likely to focus on past failures. These are powerful tools especially in times of stress and struggles. It can be something as simple as ‘Today is going to be a great day.’ or ‘I am confident.’ Repeat them to yourself in the mirror.
Focus on the solution. If we think too much about a problem, it tends to become even bigger and scarier in our mind. Instead we should think about the solution. Thinking about the solution, or how we can get there means that there is one, and that can take a load off. This can also fall in line with trying not to think about the negative. See the solution, and envision getting there.
Put on your favorite shirt, pants, dress, outfit, whatever makes you feel good. When you wear your favorite outfit or item of clothing, you feel presentable and ready to take on the world.
